Where can I get refreshments?

The Royal Free has a restaurant, several cafes and vending machines from which you can purchase a wide range of food and drink. Details of Royal Free food services>>

Refreshment trolleys also visit the wards, run by The Friends of the Royal Free.

Where can I get things to read?

The Voluntary Services Library (on the lower ground floor) is open Monday to Friday, 10.30 am to 4pm. It has a selection of books in large print. Books, magazines and newspapers are sold by the Friends' shop (on the ground floor next to the coffee shop) or from ward trolleys.

What other shops are there?

The Friends' shop (next to the coffee shop) also sells confectionery, stamps, night wear, telephone cards and sundries - all profits are used for the benefit of patients.

There is also a cash point located next to the shop.

Where are the public telephones?

There are payphones at various points around the hospital, that are operated by Patientline. Some telephones are also fitted with an induction loop system to help hearing aid users.
