Children’s diabetes web chat

Diabetes is a lifelong condition that causes a person's blood sugar levels to become too high. Many children have diabetes mellitus, which can start at any age. Most children have type 1 diabetes so need insulin but some children and young people have other forms of diabetes.

Join Dr Vaseem Hakeem, consultant paediatrician, from 4-5pm on Thursday 28 April to answer your questions about the different types of diabetes and various treatments, and give advice on how to manage your child’s condition.
