You must be under the care of one of our own consultants before you can be referred to our out-patient service. Unfortunately, we cannot accept referrals directly from your GP. Out-patient clinics are available for the following services:
- Allergy
- Diabetes
- Gastroenterology
- Liver
- Paediatrics
- Renal
If you are not under one of these teams you will need to ask your GP to refer you to a dietitian in the community. Referrals are assessed and the most urgent cases prioritised. Please see waiting time information for details of when you can expect to be seen.
The doctor should discuss the reasons for referring you to see a dietitian and ask for your consent before they refer you to us. If you are unsure why you have been referred to us, please ask the doctor who referred you.
