The women’s health pregnancy counselling service is available for any woman and their partner/s. Counselling topics include:
- miscarriage and stillbirth
- postnatal problems
Pregnant women are offered weekly sessions of 50 minutes until delivery. All other maternity and gynaecology patients are offered a time-limited contract of 6-12 sessions.
All counsellors and therapists are registered with either the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy or the British Psychoanalytic Council. The pregnancy counselling service is based in the Royal Free Hospital counselling rooms on the 5th floor. Women can also be seen in the community gynaecology clinic on Monday to Friday from 9am-7pm.
