Stop smoking service

Overview

The Royal Free London offers a specialist, friendly, confidential and responsive service to all patients, visitors and staff who want to quit smoking for good. Stopping smoking is difficult for most people, but with treatment and support the likelihood of success is four times greater.

We understand that many people who smoke really want to quit in order to improve their health. This is important not just for people with health conditions that have been impacted by smoking, but also for people who are still well but at risk of smoking related illness.

We also support smokers who need to stay smoke free during an inpatient stay, regardless of whether they intend to quit for good.
