Dr Clifford Lisk, consultant in acute medicine and geriatric medicine at Barnet Hospital, has received an excellence in medical education award from the University College London (UCL) medical school.

Dr Lisk, who has been involved in medical education since his appointment as a consultant in 2005, received the award at his Medicine MBBS graduation ceremony at the Royal Festival Hall in July. The awards honour those who have made an outstanding commitment to medical students and their education. Dr Lisk was commended for his dedication to the development of students and for his contribution and assistance in final examinations and as an external examiner.

Dr Lisk said: “I am very pleased to receive this award in recognition of my contribution to medical education. I am taking this opportunity to recognise the contribution of a fantastic medical education team whose dedication to training and education of medical students and doctors is first class.
