Industrial action by some members of London Ambulance Service is taking place for 12 hours on Monday 6 March from 12 noon to 12 midnight.

We expect our emergency departments and urgent treatment centres to be incredibly busy, please only attend if your condition is urgent or life-threatening.

If you have an outpatient appointment booked at any of our hospitals on Monday 6 March, please do attend as planned unless we contact you to tell you otherwise. If you need to visit our hospitals, please plan your journey in advance.

Our maternity services will be running as normal. If you have any worries, or think you’re in labour, please contact Royal Free Hospital (020 7794 0500 extension 36208) or Barnet Hospital (020 8216 4408) for advice as early as possible

If you have a planned homebirth around this time, your midwife will contact you on what this means for your care.
