I’ve had my first baby here last month. What can I say? The care was excellent. Antenatal care was exceptional. It’s sad to see how understaffed they are. Midwives work without a break. And sometimes there’s only one consultant to see about 20 women so the waiting can be long. However it’s not their fault. Everyone I saw during my pregnancy was really kind and helpful. I’ve had a c section which went really smoothly and recovery was easy too. Only downside of this hospital is the Victoria ward where they put you for recovery after birth. That place is horrible. However overall Barnet has been exceptionally good. Highly recommend their world class care.
I've been to the hospital for myself and my children, no once I've I left disappointed. Great hospital with great service.
Seen very fast and treated within 2 hours. Very happy with the service.

Dad out of hospital - thanks to everyone in the urology dept at @RoyalFreeNHS for the fantastic care, not to mention the lovely man in the hospital shop who saved me £15 with his superlative bluetooth vs Apple headphones advice

Feedback on NHS Choices
Very good minor injury/urgent care service
I was very impressed with the level of service I received here today. I read many negative reviews of the urgent care/minor injuries units across London including this one when I was choosing where to go, so thought I should add my positive feedback for those making the same choice in future.
I went in 10 am on a Monday morning, basically because I wanted to check my hand wasn't broken after a climbing incident. All the staff were great, friendly and helpful throughout - receptionist, streaming/triage nurse, radiologist and doctor. I was seen by the triage nurse and x-rayed within 15 minutes of arriving. I was there for a little over an hour in total. Maybe I was wasting their time (not broken!) but the doctor was efficient but nice about it. Given it's still pretty swollen and painful I'm still glad I went just for my own peace of mind really. I would definitely recommend this service
Very positive experience at the urology
I was referred to the urology at the RFH through my GP. When I came here, I was told that part of the examination includes a cystoscopy. Because of my previous experiences, I was terrified by the idea of it and refused to do it. The nurse offered me to talk to the doctor. The doctor was the most patient person I could meet. He replied to all my questions with an excellent understanding and patience, so I agreed to the procedure. I wouldn't say it was pleasant, but it is nothing I needed to be afraid of. It was quick, the doctor and the nurse were cautious and, it was more uncomfortable somewhat painful. The same with the aftercare and instruction. I was very pleased with this service and appreciate their attention to detail and care for their patients.
Excellent treatment Day Surgery
I was booked in for Day surgery - post breast cancer. The staff are friendly & helpful unfortunately not enough of them. I did have a long wait but I am very grateful for the NHS who provides an exceptional service in my case. When I went down to theatre the anaesthetists knew I was nervous and were so lovely- asking what music I wanted playing and relaxing me by making me laugh and chatting to me until I was unconscious. When I came to the recovery room again staff kind & considerate. I have been a patient at the Royal Free for almost 3 years and I can only speak highly of everyone who I have dealt with. I wish other patients would remember that everyone wants to be treated quickly & we are All stressed at being in hospital but isn’t it better than you get as much time as you need with your consultant than be rushed ?? We have an amazing facility in this country the NHS might not always be perfect but what is?! Let’s hope it continues.
