Patient letters

Email to children’s A&E

"To whom it may concern
I am writing in to thank the Paediatric team for exceptional care on 7-8 March 2015.  I reported to the Children's A&E room at 8PM on 7 March with a 3 year old exhibiting a cough and shortness of breath. Several points of care were noteworthy:

  • Jane is an amazing nurse, and is exactly the type of person that a daddy and little boy need to keep things moving when the going is tough
  • The handoff from the emergency room to the ward on 6 North was much smoother than anything I have experienced in the way of comparative non-paedatric care
  • We are grateful to Katie and Eunice on the ward for helping us to make it through the night
  • Both consultants with whom we interacted through the two shifts during which we were present were calming, patient, clear, and helpful

Many thanks to the whole team for the excellent level of care.
Daniel, Hendon"

Feedback from NHS Choices

"Top stuff from 10 East!

Was admired to 10 East for a kidney injury. being only 23 years old and having a kidney condition you can undertand how nervous and scary this would have been for me. The nurses in 10 East don't an amazing job of reassuring me and taking the beat care of me, you feel like they genuinely care about your wellbeing. One nurse in particular was very supportive throughout my stay, not taking anything away from any other member of staff. The ward was completey spotless and felt clean and germ free. Can't thank the team enough for taking care of me! I hope this message get back to the team. Thanks so much."
