Feedback of the week - 22 April

22 April 2016

We regularly receive encouraging feedback regarding the services at our trust, via patient letters, NHS Choices or Patient Opinion reviews and our social media accounts, such as our official Twitter account @RoyalFreeNHS and our Facebook page. Take a look at some of this week's feedback below.

Feedback from NHS Choices

"Great work from the vasular team, 7 west and recovery staff!

The care my mother received from the vascular team was second to none.

They were kind and compassionate listened to her concerns and took them seriously

They were straight talking and honest about the risks involved in such surgery at her age (92) which was appreciated as we felt we needed to understand the whole picture.

My mother was determined to have the operation and this was supported by the team.

Their approach was professional caring holistic and basically the best care we could have hoped for.

Thanks also to the caring and professional staff on ward 7 west who cared for my mother so compassionately and the recovery team who were so supportive to the family following my mothers operation.

My mother is now planning her next trip abroad and booking concerts for Christmas time. She has regained hope and is now looking forward to a better quality of life in the future.

Thank you so much."

"Good work all round

My partner had chronic liver disease and was in an induced coma in November 2015 the care he received in ICU and Keats ward was amazing and the specialist consultant was fantastic.

The support the nursing staff gave myself was outstanding keeping me up to date throughout his stay and explaining in detail my partners condition and treatment.

We finally got a transfer to the Royal Free Hospital in London in December where he continued his care with the specialist team and finally got a life saving donor in January this year. To say we are so grateful to the staff at Medway for there care and compassion is a big understatement and would recommend the hospital to anyone. Thank you guys for being so kind caring and understanding will never forget what you done for us we now have our lives back."
