Brilliant staff

I had to have a colonoscopy on the 17th February and to say I was nervous is an understatement. I had no need to have been. All the staff were brilliant. The receptionist on my arrival was so nice. She told me I would not be kept waiting long and I wasn't. A nurse came to get me and take me into a small room to get ready. The nurse spoke to me all the time telling me what to expect. Then another nurse came to put the needle in my hand for the sedation. Then the doctor came to see me and agin explaining everything to me. I was taken in for the procedure within 20 mins or so of my arrival. I was given sedation and some pain killers. You are not asleep but just relaxed. I can't say that it is not a bit uncomfortable because it is but it was soon over. I was taken back to my room and given a cup of tea and a biscuit by the same lovely nurse. I was soon on my way home the whole thing was less than two hours. I cannot praise the staff enough. The Doctor was very pleasant and put me at ease and the nurses made me feel relaxed. They were all just brilliant from the young girl on the reception the nurses and the doctor. Thank you all so very much for looking after a very nervous patient.

Over the moon with my treatment

I have been visiting the hospital for the past 5 years with ultimately led to me having upper jaw surgery.
My orthodontist and the nurses are amazing. They done a fantastic job with my braces. I genuinely enjoyed going to every appointment.
The surgeons also done a fantastic job with my jaw surgery. Friends and family had plenty of compliments for me saying that I look like a different person (in a good way, obviously) and my quality of life has improved.
The staff are very welcoming and I have never felt like I am a nuisance to anyone when I do attend (this includes reception). I mean it sounds obvious, but it's quite disappointing how many other NHS hospitals I've been to where the staff looked miserable (which sets the tone onto the patients and the treatment experience becomes bad).
Come to think of it, I'm actually quite sad that my appointments aren't as frequent with the staff, but I guess all good things have to come to an end :(
Unfortunately, I cannot name individuals in this review for obvious purposes, but I'm sure you know who you are.
All in all, I am over the moon with the treatment I've received from my orthodontist, nurses and the surgeons and would definitively recommend the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and the Dentistry and Orthodontics departments.
