Feedback from NHS Choices
"Brilliant work from the dermatology team!
I am a 52 year old woman who was referred to the Royal Free Hospital, as I had recurring basal cell carcinoma to the forehead. I had previously had it removed (twice) privately, which was clearly less than effective. The Royal Free dermatology team decided that the Mohs treatment was the way forward and this was performed in January 2015. I have nothing but the highest regard for the skin cancer team there. They are kind, respectful, calm and informative. The surroundings were clean and orderly, I was provided with refreshments whilst waiting for my results that day. All in all, whilst I was apprehensive about the procedure I felt very looked after and safe. I only wish I had taken this route 3 years ago at the start of the problem!
Well done and thanks especially to the specialist nurse, who was extremely kind and very pleasant."
"Good work from colposcopy
Last week I had an appointment with the colposcopy unit. I am very grateful and appreciative of the way I was treated by the staff. They were kind, considerate, compassionate, gentle, patient and professional. They made me feel dignified and at ease. They gave me reassurance and confidence and I am grateful to them for the treatment I received. I would like my thanks to be recorded as one satisfied and grateful patient."
"Good job all round!
As a family we have had treatment in various departments at the Royal Free over the past 30 years. The care and attention has been outstanding at every level (from staff through to consultants) and for that we are very grateful. Most recent visit was on 20th July when I had day surgery (shoulder arthroscopy). Although the consultant, doctors and nursing staff were extremely busy they made me feel as if I was the only patient that mattered as they were so caring and helpful. It is very much appreciated. We are so lucky to be within the Royal Free Hospital catchment area and would highly recommend."
