Thank You To 11 East Ward

My grandad was transferred from Essex over to the Royal Free for specialist urology and oncology care. Everything happened so quick with his condition and we quickly discovered he wasn't going to come home due to the nature of his illness.

The nursing staff on 11 EAST were absolutely amazing!

My nan doesn't like public transport and was spending £80 each way Daily in a taxi for over 3 weeks and the staff were really friendly and reassuring while she was distressed about her husband.

I am a nurse myself, I understand the work pressures we face, and being on the 'other side of the health system' was quite strange. My grandad was in a lot of pain and it was distressing for both my grandad and my whole family who had to watch. Each time they pressed the call bell, the nurses and HCAs came within 1 or 2 mind. They were always polite and so kind to my grandad.

The ward was organised, clean and tidy.

I was heartfelt by the nursing team there. Nurses need more credit when credit is due so I hope this review can be passed on to the ward.

THANK YOU 11 EAST!

My experiences here have been excellent

This morning I attended the hospital for blood tests and an ECG and I was incredibly impressed with both departments. All staff I met with were incredibly polite and helpful and the medical professionals really put me at ease. I was also astounded at how quickly I was seen- waiting time was next to nothing.

My other experience with this hospital was equally as good- my partner suffered kidney stones at Christmas and during every appointment and consultation (and everything in between) we were treated with such kindness. Doctors/consultants explained every procedure fully and all other staff that we encountered made the whole experience much less painful!

Thank you once again for all you do- we really are so grateful to the NHS and all the staff involved

A big thank you

I have just been discharged from the breast care clinic after 5years.During these past years I have attended and received treatment at Chase Farm, Barnet, Royal Free and Edgware.

I cannot thank and praise the staff enough. From the porter to the consultant and all in between I have been treated with kindness and respect and never made to feel that I was just another patient.

The NHS was born the same year as me and I hope we both have a long nd healthy future

Fracture Clinic

My wife fractured her elbow on July 10th and was treated in your A&E department. Since then she has paid three visits to your fracture clinic and had three further X rays. Without exception the staff that she has seen have been courteous, encouraging and professional. I would like to thank them on both her and my behalf.

I would like to make a suggestion which I hope is helpful. When she was seen four weeks ago she was given an appointment for yesterday. When she was seen an hour after the appointment time she was told that the doctor had read her notes and she needed an X-ray. Had she been given the blue form required for the X-ray in advance she could have had it done before seeing the doctor thus saving the doctor’s time as well as hers.
