Feedback from NHS Choices
Physiotherapy - amazing!
I am coming to the end of a course of physiotherapy here and after over four years of agony I am seeing real sustained improvements. Everyone I have come into contact with has offered excellent service (I have also been to the hospital for a severe ear infection when no GP appointments were available) and my physio is quite literally a miracle worker! I am constantly amazed at how fabulous and resilient our NHS workers are... Thank you.
Fantastic Treatment
I recently had a BCC on my nose removed by the Dermatology team at Royal Free. I cannot praise the entire team from Receptionists to Nurses to Consultants to Surgeons highly enough. Everyone I encountered were friendly, professional and caring. Waiting times were minimal. Consultant and Surgeon were informative and caring. My experience literally couldn't be improved upon. Please pass on my praise to the whole team!
Excellent! Felt like I’d gone private!
I gave birth at the Royal Free on 23/06/2018. My husband and I couldn’t get over what a great experience we had. A stark contrast to the awful experience we’d had delivering our first son at a different hospital just 14 months earlier.
Midwives and staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating and just generally lovely. The lady delivering my baby even worked over her shift just to fit my catheter - not the most pleasant of jobs, but she wasn’t rushing home, she put her patient first. We had absolute privacy during our delivery and felt at all times that we had the best care possible. I did see some 1st time mums coming in very early stages of labour and instead of sending them away immediately (which I’d seen the year previously at the other hospital - they even tried to send me home at 7cms dilated), the staff were lovely and talking those worried women through everything. Having a baby can be a scary time, especially if it’s your 1st and you don’t know what to expect.... staff at the Royal Free did their utmost to make sure women were as calm as possible and stress free. Fantastic experience. Can’t recommend it enough. Also, everywhere very clean. After I’d delivered staff brought me toast / tea in the middle of the night. They were amazing. Thank you all for delivering my perfect baby boy! And thanks for saving me from the trauma I experienced last time!!
Blood test
Arrived at around 1.05 for 1.15pm blood test and was seen very quickly. Painless blood test and out by 1.13pm.
