Feedback from NHS Choice
A surprisingly good experience
I attended A and E on Sunday afternoon. The receptionist was patient and professional. The ECG operator was also very helpful and pleasant. Finally the Doctor that I saw was professional, jolly and had very good communication skills. I left having been treated with utmost respect.
Scanning & imaging
Went to have my angiogram this morning and cannot fault the staff. Calm and reassuring polite and made me help reduce my pulse rate. Please pass on my thanks did not get my nurse's name but she was so lovely.
Friendly staff...
I can’t praise the staff in the urgent care centre enough - everyone I interacted with was helpful, friendly and very personable. Of course there was a bit of a wait, but that’s to be expected and is certainly not the fault of the staff, who couldn’t have been better!
Excellent experience all round
I turned up late one evening at 20:45, 15 mins before they close, reception staff very friendly and efficient. I was seen by initial doctor within 15 mins, then tests run and medication provided within another hour. The place was spotless, excellent work by the cleaners. Never really write reviews, but want to give a big thanks to all the staff here, you are valued. Keep it up
Treated with courtesy and respect
I had a severe laceration to my finger and attended the centre at 6pm. Although the whole visit took 2.5 hours, it was clear that the staff were over stretched and the centre was being used inappropriately. The nurse practitioner had been abused by another patient just before he saw me, however, that did not stop him from treating me with courtesy and respect.
A new shiny building does not make the wait shorter. People using health facilities properly makes the wait shorter.
Thank you
Visited gynaecologist such friendly & kind staff. Explained carefully the treatment, made me feel at ease. Seen on time, even given Cup of tea afterwards.
Blood tests at Barnet Hospital
I cannot praise highly enough the staff in the Blood Test Department at Barnet Hospital. I have used this service many times and found it to be amazing. I visited on Wednesday 20th February and although I had to wait I hour and 20 minutes over my appointment time, I met some lovely people to chat with. The department was packed but the speed which the appointments were dealt with, was brilliant. I saw a member of staff and despite being rushed off her feet, she was friendly and very reassuring. I have appalling veins and needed a lot of tests done, but she was really terrific. I didn't feel a thing, she explained exactly what she was doing and it was done in just a few minutes. I have had blood tests in other hospitals in London, which are very good, but nothing beats Barnet. If you need a blood test, have it done here.
Experience in A&E
On Saturday February 9 at about midnight I reported to A&E with a dreadful toothache and abscess. The receptionist was pleasant and registered me without any problem. The triage nurse was pleasant and sympathetic and courteous. The department was very busy. I was then seen the maxillofacial registrar who once again was very pleasant. He gave me antibiotics. I was able to leave in just two hours. My major compliment is that in spite of being busy and my feeling a little bit guilty for being there, they were efficient, sympathetic, knowledgeable and pleasant. It really helped the whole experience
They could not have been more kind
I have had a biopsy recently at Barnet Hospital and just wanted to say thanks so much, publicly, to the really wonderful staff who looked after me! They could not have been more kind.
