Dementia affects over 850,000 people in the UK and that figure is set to more than double in the coming decades. In spite of its prevalence, many myths about the condition endure and dementia is now the leading health concern in over-50s. This year’s dementia awareness week runs from 15-21 May and the campaign encourages people to confront dementia with their worries and discover that they are not alone.
Join Danielle Wilde, trust dementia lead, from 3-4pm on Friday 20 May to answer your questions about different types of dementia, living well with dementia and advice about caring for a loved one living with the condition.
