Before you arrive at your hospital appointment

When you receive an appointment from one of our hospitals, you will be informed which specialty will be seeing you and where you will need to go. You will be seen by the most appropriate member of the clinical team.

If you would like an interpreter please visit our interpreting and translation page for more information.

On the day

Please bring your appointment letter with you, along with any medication you are currently taking, in its original container. This is so our team know the strength and dosage of your medicines.

You will be advised if you are required to attend any further appointments or tests.

Cancelling or changing hospital appointments

If you cannot keep any clinic appointments or would like to change the date or time, please change or cancel your hospital appointment online or call the number on your appointment letter.

Getting to our London hospitals: help with travelling expenses

If you receive income support, family credit or certain other benefits, you may be able to get help with travelling expenses. Please take proof of exemption, such as your benefit book, to the cashiers office of the hospital where you are receiving medical treatment.

Respecting your wishes

The Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust aims to respect the privacy, dignity, religion and cultural beliefs of every patient. Please let us know at clinic if you have any specific needs.
