Pre-eclampsia

High blood can affect about 8-10 out of 100 women in pregnancy. Pre-eclampsia is the most severe form of this condition. High blood pressure and or pre-eclampsia  can lead to very serious complications for the mother and the baby.   For these reasons at every antenatal appointment your midwife or doctor will check if you have any signs of this complication occurring. This is why it is very important that you attend your check ups.
