A free sexual health clinic in London
The Marlborough Clinic is a leading sexual health service based at the Royal Free Hospital. Our team provides a confidential, non-judgmental, friendly service. We offer free HIV and STI testing and treatment for people in the London area, along with emergency contraception and a variety of other contraceptive methods.
Our aim is to help you stay healthy, by diagnosing any sexually transmitted infections that you may have and providing other sexual advice, guidance and support when you need it.

Need an appointment for free sexual health screening or confidential sexual health advice?
We are an appointment based system and we can see everyone within 48 hours. Our hours are:
- Monday 9am-3pm
- Tuesday 1-6pm
- Wednesday 1-7pm
- Thursday 1-6pm
- Friday 9am-3pm
You can book an appointment at the Marlborough Clinic online or by calling the appointments line on 020 7830 2047. This line is staffed during clinic hours.
We are now offering appointments for long-acting reversible contraceptives (LARC). LARC include implants, IUD and IUS. Please call the number above to make a booking.
Please note: we are experiencing intermittent problems with our online booking service. Please accept our apologies if you are experiencing difficulties while using this service.
We also have walk-in sessions at the following times:
Mondays 3-6pm – for all patients who are 24 years or under
Tuesdays 8.30-11am – for patients of all ages
Thursdays 9-11am – for patients of all ages
You can also walk-in and see us without an appointment if you:
- are 19 years or under
- need emergency contraception or the morning after pill
- need a repeat prescription for the contraceptive pill
- would like free condoms or a chlamydia testing kit
- would like an HIV test only.
Please note that on rare occasions it is not always possible to see all walk-ins. If this is the case, we will offer you the next available appointment. Most people will be given an appointment within 24 hours of contacting the clinic.
