A former Chair, board member and CEO of large international voluntary organisations such as the Red Cross, UNICEF and the YMCA, David came from a journalistic background and specialised in international development and disaster relief. In the NHS, David played a leading role in the early days of the fight against HIV/Aids as director of communications for the Heath Education Authority; in recent years he has been vice chair of the Board of North-East London NHS Foundation Trust helping in both its move to Foundation Trust status and the massive expansion of its services.
David is a patient of the Royal Free's Renal Dept taking part in clinical trials and acting as a "patient" in medical exams. He lives in Enfield.
David also represents the council of governors at the organ donation committee meetings.
