Biography

Julian was elected to the council of governors in September 2020. After a career working for IBM for 23 years across sales, marketing and large-scale computer projects, he then went on to run his own business selling and installing financial software.

This has provided an insight into the challenges involved in implementing large projects. Running a business for the last decade has further honed his problem solving; financial and interpersonal skills.

Julian has found time to volunteer with helping children read in school, has been a leader of a local synagogue and helped raise funds for various charities while maintaining a healthy sense of humour.

Both he and his family have been grateful recipients of the trust's care. He feels passionately that the role of patient governor is extremely worthwhile, especially given the unprecedented challenges the NHS is facing.
