The communications team looks after media and stakeholder relations, digital communications, internal communications and patient information for the trust.
We provide a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week service to help journalists access information about the trust and to answer their questions. The communications team should be the first point of contact for all media requests.
We are keen to promote the work being carried out at the Royal Free London in the media. However, the welfare of patients is our primary concern and we reserve the right to decline media requests where these conflict with patient care, our duty to patient and staff confidentiality or operational requirements.

The communications team will demonstrate the trust’s values in all of its contact, correspondence and conversations with the media. We hope you will treat us in the same manner. We will not tolerate abuse or aggressive behaviour towards any of our team and will report inappropriate behaviour to the Independent Press Standards Organisation. We reserve the right to end calls which are not in keeping with these straightforward expectations.
