Accommodation for Royal Free Hospital patients and relatives is available at the Pears Building. 

These comfortable, hotel-style rooms are conveniently located on the Royal Free Hospital campus and are ideal if you live far away and need to visit for appointments or treatment, or if you have family members visiting you in hospital. 

Getting to us

By bus

There are several buses that pass by the Royal Free Hospital campus. Bus routes 24, 46, 168, 268 and C11 all serve the hospital.

By tube

The nearest underground station is Belsize Park on the Northern line. The walk from Belsize Park station to the Pears Building is uphill and takes about 10 minutes.

By train

Hampstead Heath, which is on the London Overground, is about a six-minute walk to the Pears Building.

There is car parking at the Pears Building on level 00 and level 01, operated by the Royal Free Hospital car parking team. 

It can be accessed from Pond Street for level 0, or via Rowland Hill Street for level 1.

It’s on a first-come first-served basis and there is no reserved parking. 

Visitors should make their way from the car park to the main reception at the front of the building. 

There are no pickup and drop off facilities at the Pears Building.

Charges are: £3 per hour for up to 7 hours, and £24 for 24 hours after that.
