Biography

Alex Riding joined the renal department at the Royal Free and Clinical Pharmacology team at University College London Hospital (UCLH) in 2021. She splits her inpatient working between renal transplant on-calls at the Royal Free and general medical on-calls and renal inreach at UCLH. She is dual accredited in renal and general (internal) medicine, having completed her training in the East Anglia Deanery.

During her training, Dr Riding completed a PhD from the University of Cambridge investigating the role of innate immunity of the renal tract in urinary tract infection. Dr Riding has a specialist interest in renal disorders of pregnancy and also conducts outpatient clinics in haemodialysis, hypertension and renal biopsy. She is departmental lead for Mortality and Morbidity clinical governance and Renal Educational and Training Co-lead (post-graduate).
