Biography

Lynn qualified with a BSc(HONS) in physiotherapy from the University of Ulster (1998) and later an MSc in advanced cardiorespiratory physiotherapy from University College London (2009)

Lynn has developed a wealth of knowledge in the field of respiratory failure and Non-Invasive Ventilation. Initially working at Southampton University Hospital, Lynn specialised in respiratory and developed an interest in non-invasive ventilation (NIV) while working on what was, a nurse and physio led, respiratory support unit.

Later moving to Guy’s and St. Thomas’ NHS Trust and working in the intensive care unit and subsequently spending 13 years as clinical specialist physiotherapist for both the Lane Fox ventilation and weaning unit and the integrated respiratory teams.

After recent secondments to NHS England and The Royal Brompton Hospital’s Lung team, Lynn took up the consultant respiratory physiotherapist post at Royal Free Hospital in September 2022.
