Biography

Dr Liu is a consultant neurologist at the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust. She treats patients with a wide range of neurological conditions and medically unexplained symptoms.

She offers a specialist epilepsy service covering all aspects of seizure management from newly diagnosed epilepsy to complex and difficult to control epilepsy. She emphasises a holistic approach to managing epilepsy, concentrating not only on medication but mood, memory and social wellbeing.

Dr Liu is the trust lead for functional neurological disorders and has established a clinical service for patients with dissociative seizures.

She completed her medical training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital and obtained a first class BSc Degree in psychology from University College London. She conducted her postgraduate medical training at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, Queen Square and the Royal Free Hospital, London.

She developed her epilepsy skills at The Epilepsy Society, Chalfont and Queen Square.
