Biography
Mr Francis has been a consultant surgeon for nearly 13 years. His NHS and private practice specialises in colorectal, laparoscopic and endoscopic surgery, and general surgery.
In 2013, he was named as one of the top 250 doctors in the UK in Tatler Doctors Guide.
Within colorectal surgery, he provides provide a full range of subspeciality consultation and surgery. He has performed over 500 colorectal resections, and 80% are carried out laparoscopically. All my colorectal resection patients go through an enhanced recovery programme.
He enjoys many sports and is a fully accredited Level 1 Football Association Coach.

As a medical educator, Mr Francis has been the postgraduate lead for surgery at the Trust for the past six years and has set up a very successful Basic Surgical Skills course.
He regularly reviews manuscripts for major surgical journals.
He has increased his clinical research and published numerous papers in his specialist field as well as writng numerous book chapters.
In 2012, he became an hononary senior lecturer for the Division of Medicine at the University College London.
