Biography

Mr Saksena qualified from the University of Dundee, Scotland, before undertaking surgical training in Australia and The Royal London Hospital.

During his orthopaedic specialist training, he undertook a specialist hip fellowship with Sarah Muirhead-Allwood and Prof Fares Haddad. He has also undertaken fellowship training in knee surgery and sports surgery of the knee.

Mr Saksena’s research interests lie in improving surgical and quality of life outcomes.

His aim is to provide enhanced recovery by adopting approaches that improve the whole patient journey from pre-operative assessment to post-operative rehabilitation.

He has collaborated with the National Institute for Health Research on patient-related outcome measures and has published and presented his research work in Europe and the USA.

Mr Saksena uses the MyRecovery app to enhance patient wellness, aid recovery and measure outcomes and feedback.
