COVID-19 vaccination

The coronavirus (COVID-19) vaccines are safe, effective and give you the best protection against coronavirus.

Anybody who is aged 18 or over and registered with a GP surgery in England can use the national booking system to book or manage their COVID-19 vaccination appointment:

When you book, you will be given appointments to receive two doses of the vaccine. You will have two doses of the same vaccine.

There is evidence of better immune response and protection where longer intervals between doses are used. Currently, the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) is recommending an interval of 8 to 12 weeks between doses of all COVID-19 vaccines, with the exception of those about to commence immunosuppressive treatment.

If you have a question or about your appointment for your second dose then you can use the ‘manage my appointments’ section of the national booking page, or call 119.
