Community Diagnostic Centre at Finchley Memorial Hospital
The Community Diagnostic Centre at Finchley Memorial Hospital provides a range of planned diagnostic procedures, such as checks, scans and tests, allowing patients to be seen quicker and closer to home.
Hosted by the Royal Free London, the centre opened in August 2021, and is supporting efforts to clear the backlog of patients waiting for tests caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The centre is open seven days a week from 8am until 8pm.
The Royal Free London runs the following services at the Community Diagnostic Centre:
CT scans, MRI and non-obstetric ultrasound scans.
The centre has a dedicated MRI suite on the first floor with plans to add a second permanent MRI scanner in 2023/24 as well as a fixed CT scanner and developing x-ray services.

Glaucoma and retinal clinics for patients who require long-term monitoring of their stable eye condition.
There are plans to expand this service in 2023/24 to include sleep testing and other tests.
Phlebotomy (blood tests)
A blood testing service is also available at the Community Diagnostic Centre, run by Central London Community Healthcare NHS Trust. Patients with a GP referral and form can book an appointment between 7am and 8pm Monday to Friday, and between 8am and 8pm on Saturday and Sunday.
