Gynaecology cancer and colposcopy

Gynaecology cancer

We offer rapid access clinics for gynaecology cancer and follow-up clinics for women with suspected gynaecological malignancy. We treat early stage gynaecological malignancies and refer advanced cases to the cancer centre at UCH as per the London Cancer network guidelines.

The Royal Free Hospital is a national satellite unit for the MRC United Kingdom Collaborative Trial of Ovarian Cancer (UKCTOCS).

Colposcopy

Our colposcopy service offers diagnostic colposcopy clinics, out-patient treatment clinics and cytology clinics. In-patient laser treatment is offered to those who are unsuitable for out-patient treatment.

Our colposcopy service has a national reputation for its contribution to translational research within the NHS cervical screening programme over the last twenty years.

Read our booklet about having a colposcopy to find out more about the procedure and what you should expect when you come to the clinic.

You can also read our leaflet which has information on changing or cancelling your colposcopy appointment and having a colposcopy while pregnant.
