Vascular studies
Overview
The vascular studies department at the Royal Free Hospital in London includes six world class clinical vascular scientists, three trainee clinical vascular scientists, one associate practitioner and one receptionist.
We perform vascular ultrasound examinations to assess the vascular system for venous or arterial disease.
Vascular ultrasound investigations are safe and non-invasive and are used to specifically investigate the peripheral vascular system (ie the arteries and veins in the arms, legs, neck and abdomen).
The Royal Free London vascular studies team provides a scanning service for all consultants and a GP direct access service for patients with a suspected deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
