From midday on Tuesday 14 April our children and young people’s emergency department at Barnet Hospital will be temporarily diverted to other hospitals.
Local hospitals are working together to plan ahead and deliver the best possible care to all patients during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
As part of this, our children and young people’s emergency department at Barnet Hospital will be closed and diverted to the following hospitals from midday on Tuesday 14 April:
- North Middlesex University Hospital for London residents
(Sterling Way, London, N18 1QX)

In north central London, children and young people’s emergency services also continue to be available at:
- Royal Free Hospital (Pond St, London, NW3 2QG)

From this date anyone aged under 18 needing care for an accident or an emergency should go to the emergency departments at the hospitals outlined above.
