Staff enjoyed a bit of tea and cake as part of Chase Farm Hospital’s first birthday celebrations on Friday.
As well as enjoying a few refreshments, it was a chance for staff to reflect on everything that had been achieved since the new hospital opened its doors – and posters were created depicting the successes of the past year.
Chase Farm Hospital chief executive Natalie Forrest said: “We have achieved such a lot in our first year. Some of the highlights include maintaining our good rating for CQC, the deployment of the electronic patient record, the achievement of healthcare information and management systems level 6, which means we are one of the most technologically advanced hospitals in the country, we have had 40 visits from staff from other trusts wanting to find out how we run our hospital and we now have an education faculty in the Urgent Care Centre.
“There has been such a lot we have achieved in our first year – and it’s all down to the hard work of every single member of staff. Everyone coped brilliantly with the move from the old hospital to our lovely new building and this afternoon is a chance to reflect on our achievements.”
