A new non-executive director, Pawan Dhir, will join the Royal Free London’s board at the start of May.

Pawan, who is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales, has three decades of financial services experience, having held a number of executive leadership positions globally at several of the world’s largest institutions.

He has extensive finance, audit and risk management expertise in addition to digital transformation and intelligent automation implementation experience.

Pawan is an experienced non-executive director, serving on the boards of several educational institutions.

Pawan said: "I am delighted to be joining the board and am very much looking forward to supporting the trust and its staff during the next phase of its journey. As a Barnet resident with a number of roles in the community, it's fitting that I am able to contribute to my local NHS trust and play a role in its future.

“Although there are challenges ahead for all trusts, I’m so pleased to be working with colleagues in championing the very best in NHS care here at the Royal Free London.”

Mark Lam, Royal Free London chair, added: “I’d like to extend a warm welcome to Pawan. I am delighted that he will joining us as a non-executive director and with his experience in financial services, risk management and audit, Pawan will prove an invaluable addition to our board.”
