Upgrading our telephone system to improve your experience

We are upgrading our telephone system at the Royal Free London which will improve your experience of contacting the trust.

Over the next few weeks, preparation work is taking place to ensure the transition to the new system goes smoothly with minimal disruption. Planned downtime to our switchboard is taking place out of hours to keep disruption to a minimum.  

You can find details of the planned downtime listed below. During these times, you may not be able to reach our switchboard. We apologise for any inconvenience, if you are unable to get through, please do try again later.

Planned downtime:  

  • Tuesday 20 April, 8pm

Potential downtime for approximately 10-15 minutes. This is not expected to impact the ability to make or receive calls. There may be limited access to additional features like voicemail.

  • ​Sunday 25 April, 2am – 6am

You may be unable to contact our switchboard during this time.  

  • Sunday 6 June, 2am – 6am

You may be unable to contact our switchboard during this time.
