Work is underway to make improvements to the Pond Street garden at the Royal Free Hospital. Volunteers from the charity and local community joined forces and gave up their free time last weekend, for a long term project to improve the greenery and garden spaces on the grounds and perimeter of the hospital.

Funded by the Royal Free Charity and supported by the voluntary services department and the estates directorate, the team of volunteers, led by Linda Grove, also worked hard to get rubbish cleaned up in order to prepare the areas for planting.

More help is needed again this weekend so if you are a keen gardener with a few hours to spare, why not join in? There are lots of other ways you can help if you don’t’ have green fingers such as making tea and coffee or sweeping up.
