Caroline Clarke

Caroline Clarke, the chief finance officer of the Royal Free London, has been recognised with a diversity leader award from NHS Employers.

The award acknowledges her work in promoting equality and diversity within the trust, which is one of the NHS Employers equality and diversity partners.

NHS Employers announced the award on its website at the end of NHS equality and diversity week 2015, highlighting her work to raise the equality agenda at the trust and her contribution to creating an open and diverse workforce in the organisation. 

Caroline joined the Royal Free London in 2011 and has been particularly involved with LGBT issues, acting as the trust’s executive sponsor for the LGBT staff network.

Caroline said: “It’s really important that as a healthcare provider and a major employer that we recognise the richness and diversity of our patient and staff groups.

“Our diversity is part of our strength and we must celebrate this.”
