Rheumatology

Overview

The rheumatology team is proud to offer world class specialist services, with referrals from across the UK to our specialist scleroderma and sarcoidosis and multi-system inflammatory disease clinics.

Our dedicated multi-disciplinary team, including a host of clinicians and researchers, work closely together to provide prompt diagnosis and management of a wide spectrum of rheumatic diseases.

Our early inflammatory arthritis and psoriatic arthritis clinics enable prompt access to musculoskeletal imaging, including ultrasound, facilitating best practice for our patients with inflammatory arthritis and spondylitis.

We maintain close links with colleagues in other specialities relevant to rheumatic diseases. We have combined clinics with dermatology and a consultant respiratory physician attends our weekly sarcoidosis and connective tissue disease clinic.

We have on-site physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, orthotics and occupational therapy services. We also have access to a clinical psychologist for our patients with psoriatic arthritis, with plans to extend this service to all those with inflammatory rheumatic diseases.
