As well as performing vascular surgery, our team provides a full range of vascular services for patients with vascular disease at Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital.
Vascular disease treatment: in-patient care at our hospitals
If you are admitted to the Royal Free Hospital for your vascular disease treatment or vascular surgery you are likely to stay on 7 West ward.
Patients who are due to be with us for just one night or the day are generally treated on 3 North ward or in the day surgery unit.
As patients with vascular disease frequently have multisystem disease, we work with specialist doctors and nurses from other teams within Royal Free to ensure you are provided with the best possible care.
Planned aortic procedures and carotid operations are generally performed at the Royal Free Hospital or by surgeons from Barnet Hospital or Chase Farm Hospital. All in-patient surgical procedures for peripheral vascular disease are performed at Barnet Hospital or the Royal Free Hospital.
Visiting a Royal Free London vascular clinic as an out-patient
We hold regular out-patient clinics at the Royal Free Hospital during the week, two vascular clinics a week at Barnet Hospital and two at Chase Farm Hospital. Vascular patients are also seen in clinics at Edgware Community Hospital and Potters Bar Community Hospital.
There are additional specialist multidisciplinary clinics where we involve other specialist teams at the Royal Free Hospital. These are for patients with complex aneurysmal disease, diabetic foot disease, renovascular disease and vascular malformations.
