A fire evacuation simulation will take place on Tuesday, 8 March of a highly infectious 'patient' (in this instance a member of staff) from 11 North and 11 South at the Royal Free Hospital. This will be an all day event.

There will be two scenarios from each area, first via the stairs and the second via the lift. The 'patient' will be taken along the ground floor to the Rowland Hill exit to a designated area of the car park. The patient will be accompanied by at least five people in PPE.

This exercise will have no operational impact but we wish to reassure patients, visitors and staff that this is a training exercise. As the drill takes place the plan is to let everyone know it is a training exercise.
