You have until 5pm today, Friday 25 July, to submit your questions for our next medicine for members’ event, ‘Let’s talk menopause — supporting women’s health at every stage’.

Over 13 million women in the UK are currently peri or post-menopausal — more than one-third of the female population. Menopause is a natural part of life, but its impact can be profound, affecting everything from work performance and relationships to mental health and daily wellbeing. Despite this, many women feel unseen, unheard, and unsupported during this critical life change.

Join us on Tuesday 29 July from 6pm when we will explore the innovative work being done across our hospitals to provide holistic, practical support for patients going through menopause. From managing physical symptoms to giving families the tools to help their loved ones through the transition.

Members of our dietetics and physiotherapy teams will share valuable insights on how lifestyle changes can help manage common symptoms and improve quality of life.

We will be joined by:

  • Ms Sheila Radhakrishnan, consultant gynaecologist
  • Ena Ankutse, pelvic health physiotherapy service team lead
  • Ruth Westwood, clinical specialist dietitian

After the presentations, you will have the chance to join the conversation and put your questions to our panel of speakers during our interactive Q&A session. You can ask your questions live or submit them in advance by emailing rf-tr.membership@nhs.net by 5pm today.

This event is free and open to patients, carers, staff and members of the public as well as our trust membership. You do not need to be a member to attend the event.

To book your place, please email rf-tr.membership@nhs.net by 5pm on Monday 28 July. Once you have registered, further details on how you can join the event will be shared.

This event will be chaired by lead governor Sneha Bedi and streamed online using Microsoft Teams.

Our Medicine for Members’ events are hosted by our governors and focus on topics which are important to patients, staff, and the local community.
