Children’s blood tests at the Royal Free Hospital

There is a children’s blood test clinic at the Royal Free Hospital for children and teenagers aged 16 and under. All children’s blood tests take place in the paediatric out-patients clinic (clinic 1).

Clinic 1 is situated on the 1st floor of the hospital.

Opening times: The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 9am – 12:30pm and from 1:30pm – 4pm excluding Bank holidays.

This is a walk in service, no appointment necessary.

We work on a first come, first served basis. We always aim to see you as soon as possible however the service can become extremely busy, waits should be expected (especially during school holidays.)

We apologise in advance for any wait you may experience.

If you have been asked to come for fasting bloods and have any queries; please check with your referrer.

No bloods will be taken after 4pm and you may be asked to return another day.
