Childcare and nurseries

The trust has three Ofsted registered nurseries based at Barnet Hospital, Chase Farm Hospital and the Royal Free Hospital, providing high quality childcare for the children of staff who work for the trust, as well as other NHS staff and allied workers.

We take children aged from six months to five years (government funding is available for some age groups). We are open 52 weeks of the year (except bank holidays) and half day sessions (morning and afternoon) and part time places are also available. We also accept childcare vouchers.

Our nursery staff are qualified, experienced and offer a friendly and caring welcome. We aim to provide a stimulating, safe and secure environment where children can thrive and enjoy learning through play.

We work in line with the Government’s Early Year’s Foundation Stage and follow the National Curriculum, which covers seven areas of learning.

  • Physical development
  • Communication and language

Specific areas
